Terms of Use

Last updated: 30 October 2026

These terms apply to the Bascule app and to this website. By using them, you accept these terms.

Who publishes Bascule

Arnaud Clavien, Yverdon-les-Bains, Switzerland.
Contact: contact@basculeapp.com

The game

Every day at midnight Paris time, Bascule publishes three dilemmas, the same for everyone. You vote once per dilemma, without an account. The dilemmas are imagined situations meant to make you think: they are neither advice nor real events.

The percentages reflect the people who voted in the app and on the website, not a representative population. It is not a poll.

Bascule is meant for people aged 13 and over.

Bascule+

Bascule+ is a one-time in-app purchase, not a subscription. It unlocks the full archive, unlimited bonus dilemmas, the full moral compass, removal of all ads and alternative app icons.

Ads

The free version shows ads provided by Google, described on the Privacy page. A bonus dilemma only unlocks if the video was watched to the end.

What is not allowed

Votes obtained this way may be removed from the totals and access to the service blocked.

Suggested dilemmas

When you suggest a dilemma, you confirm that you wrote it and grant Bascule a free, worldwide right to adapt, translate and publish it in the app, on the website and in their promotion, without naming you. There is no payment and no obligation to publish. Don't send anything illegal, hurtful or personal.

Ownership

The dilemmas, texts, name, logo and design of Bascule belong to Arnaud Clavien. Sharing a dilemma, your result card or a link to the website is welcome. Republishing the dilemmas elsewhere requires written permission.

Availability

Bascule is provided as is. The service may be interrupted for maintenance, change or, one day, end. A permanent shutdown would be announced in advance in the app and on this website.

Liability

To the extent permitted by Swiss law, Arnaud Clavien's liability is excluded except for intentional misconduct or gross negligence. Mandatory consumer rights are not affected.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Swiss law. The place of jurisdiction is Yverdon-les-Bains. If you are a consumer living in another country, you keep the protection and the courts granted to you by that country's mandatory law.

Changes

If these terms change, the date at the top changes too. Significant changes are mentioned in the app's release notes.
